    May’90 to may’91 Deputy Assistant Quartermaster General of an artillery brigade in the North West.

    Strategic Management
     Conceptualizing and implementing all round development plans/ policies for accomplishment of designated targets in the given parameters.
     Managing security related activities for safeguarding high-value assets of the nation. Developing Strategic and Tactical plans for counter insurgency operations.
     Handling safety and security of men, material, information and equipment against all contingencies like sabotage, fire hazards etc.
     Supervising formulation of need based budgets for completion of construction projects and completing audits of the accounts.

    Materials Management/ Logistics
     Accountable for meeting inventory requirements by designing, implementing and monitoring effective procurement schedules along with finalizing the specifications of the materials and establishing the quality & quantity limits for effective inventory control.
     Streamlining the system and procedures for effective inventory control for ensuring ready availability of materials/ ammunitions for the troops,
     Overseeing the logistic functions and negotiating with shippers/transporters for cost effective transport solutions and clearances.
     Handling the fleet of vehicles & transporters ensuring on time delivery and monitoring transit norms.
     Monitoring and analyzing the loss in transit and undertaking measures to control the same.

    General Administration/ Facility Management
     Liaising with various govt., statutory and regulatory authorities and central Govt ministries for obtaining various clearances, sanctions and approvals, and settlement of pending cases.
